Anyway, if you are shopping for an awesome Christmas gift, these ten are the perfect ones to start with! You can trust me, because well, I’m a guy, and I like this stuff.
Quick Note: All products on this list (except the Yeti Rambler Bottle) were gifted to me by the brand. However, all opinions are my own!

1. Groove Life Groove Belt Max Leather
I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post.
- They finally have a leather belt option.
- Extremely easy to adjust the belt length
- The belt buckle is easy to use
- The belt clasp is weaker than the OG Groove Belt
- The belt buckle is slipping off the belt.
Every guy needs an awesome belt in his life, and in our opinion, there isn’t a better option than the Groove Belt Leather Max that would be universally enjoyed by every guy. While I technically prefer their Groove Life Belt Ultra better, if you are questioning a guy’s style choices in any way, this is going to be your safer bet.
This is the brand’s first leather belt, and like the rest of their belts, it has some stretch to it (how they did that, I don’t know). It also comes with a magnetized belt mechanism, which means you don’t have those unsightly, terrible-looking holes in the belt. Just a clean leather belt (with a classy buckle).
The major downsides to this one? The buckle’s magnetic strength seems weaker than that of its non-leather counterparts, and we found that the buckle slips out after about a week’s usage and needs to be repositioned.
For the price, it’s hard to find a product that would get used and appreciated more than this one right here, the Groove Belt Max Leather (Paid Link).
2. Double Oak Founder’s Edition Wallet
I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post.
- The cardholder is removable from the wallet.
- The top-grain leather feels awesome.
- The cardholder mechanism is reliable and clicks.
- MagSafe compatible
- The gold color looks fantastic.
- Cards can get jammed in the cardholder.
- With the leather portion, it is quite thick
- Dimensions: 4.1" High by 2.7" Wide by .75" Deep
- RFID Blocking: Yes
- Card Capacity: 1 to 10
- Cash Organization: Yes
- Coin Storage: No
- Weight: Unknown
I’ve tested a lot of wallets over the years (I have close to 40 of them right now), and so far, the best overall wallet is this Double Oak Founder’s Edition. While the Founder’s Edition may be this green and gold version, there are plenty of other color variations to choose from on the brand’s site (Paid Link) (just in case you aren’t as fancy pants as me).
So why is this my favorite wallet yet? Because it utilizes a high-quality grain leather wraparound that feels (and looks awesome). You have easy-to-use cash storage and great card storage on the interior pockets, and it just works well. Now, the pride and joy of the wallet is the cardholder (which holds up to seven cards), which ejects its cards out of the wallet at the push of a button (you can see a lot more pictures in my review here).
Now, there are plenty of wallets that do something similar, but this one has a party trick in that the cardholder is removable out of the leather exterior and can magnetize itself to the rear of any phone that is MagSafe compatible. That means you can have extra storage (and style) when you want it or portability and sleekness when you don’t.
The only major downside I saw with this wallet is its size and the leather portion installed. It’s definitely bulky, and noticeable in your pocket.
3. Supernote Nomad
I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post.
- Everything is one place
- Drawing feels mostly like paper
- It's a really well-built unit
- The pen feels like something you want to use
- The clear back is cool
- The size is great
- The pen wobbles around in the folio
- The file system could be better
Never have I had a product that had such a turnaround in opinion than this Supernote Nomad (read my full review here)! When I first got it, I didn’t really understand it. However, after pushing through, it became indispensable in my daily life.
It’s considerably better to take notes on an e-ink display like the Nomad! I found it could be an awesome task manager, e-reader, and even a decent drawing tablet, all in one place. It took me off of my blue-light phone and left me more in the moment.
If you find yourself distracted a lot and would prefer to be away from your devices but still need the capability, this one is it! Sure, it may be a bit on the expensive side, and the file system is a bit wonky, but all of the upsides of paper-like writing and great build quality outweigh it by quite a bit. Make sure to get yours here (Paid Link)!
4. Orbitkey Crazy Horse Leather Key Organizer
I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post.
- Fantastic quality leather
- Easy to install or remove keys and tools
- Soft sided key organizers are awesome
- The metal wears well
- I wish it was a bit longer
- No pocket clip
Everyone who has more than one key needs to have a key organizer, and that likely is the guy in your life! I’ve tested quite a few different options out there, and this one has stood out as my all-time favorite (for now, anyway). It’s a top-grain leather, soft-sided key organizer that can store up to 7 keys (unless you add multitools, which you should).
It’s a single-sided key organizer, which I’ve found makes it considerably easier to install keys on, and the quality is the best I’ve ever seen in an organizer. It feels nice in the hand, isn’t noticeable in your pocket, and does everything you could want something like this to do.
The only real downsides I found were that it didn’t fit some longer multitools, as it was a bit too short, and the lack of an integrated pocket clip can leave it in the bottom of your pockets rather than clipped to the top (making it a bit more difficult to get to).
Of course, you can read my full review here!
5. YETI Rambler 18 oz Water Bottle
I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post.
- So incredibly durable
- It does a fantastic job of keeping my water cold
- The chug lid is easy to drink from
- Everything is cleanable & dishwasher safe
- Filling it up is a simple task
- It has customizable accessories
- This Rambler is heavy!
- I sometimes wish it had a larger capacity
I’ve had plenty of different water bottles over the years, and they have all either gotten nasty (past saving) or have broken! That is until I found this Yeti Rambler Water Bottle (Paid Link)! While it may be incredibly heavy (thanks to its double-walled stainless steel construction), it makes up for it by being incredibly durable and keeping your water cold without any issues.
The one I’ve had for years now is the 18-ounce version, but there are plenty of other sizes (and colors) to choose from if you prefer. I also opted for the chug lid, as it is one of the easiest ways to drink from the bottle and is also the one that is easiest to clean.
The only downside I had, outside of its weight, is its capacity. 18 ounces isn’t quite enough all the time, so it might be worth upgrading to a larger size (unless, of course, you want it to fit in a cup holder). Make sure to read my full review here!
6. BioLite Charge 100 Max
I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post.
- It has wireless charging capabilities.
- This charging bank is quite compact.
- Five different charge options, which all can be used at the same time.
- I like the color and styling of these charge banks.
- It's quite heavy at 1.3 pounds
- I wish it had a screen showing more stats
- You have to press the button on the side to get wireless charging to function.
- Battery Capacity: 25,000 Mah
- Dimensions: 5.5" by 4.4" by 1.4"
- Weight: 1.3 pounds
Nowadays, there are so many different things we need to keep charged! Sometimes, that can be a pain if we are on the go or camping. That is where this BioLite Charge 100 Max (Paid Link) comes into play. It’s a 25,000 Mah battery pack that offers up to five different ways to charge. However, what sets it apart is the fact that one of those ways is a wireless charger found on the face of the unit (pretty fancy, eh?).
Another thing that makes this better than the competition is its durable build. While most battery banks are made of shiny plastic that brakes when out and about, this is made of a much more durable (and rough-ish) material that makes it much more versatile.
If a guy in your life is constantly out of power for some reason or another, this would be my bet! Just make sure to keep an eye out for weight, as this is 1.3 pounds.
7. Klean Kanteen Rise 14oz Mug
I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post.
- My favorite styling for any camp mug
- Great build quality
- The perfect capacity
- Thinner, sloping lip is great to drink from
- Not a fan of the lid
- High-price point
- Capacity: 14 ounces
- Construction: 18/8 Stainless Steel
- Dishwasher Safe: Yes
I’m really big into coffee mugs, especially camp mugs! While there are plenty of different stainless steel, double-walled coffee mugs on the market, this is my all-time favorite option for just about anyone. Now, it should be mentioned that I actually use this Klean Kanteen as my primary (because it fits my Aeropress Go); I think the 14oz version is best for most people.
With Klean Kanteen’s new Rise Collection giving a much more modern style to their mugs, I have been extremely impressed with them. They are high quality, trustworthy, and I’m always excited once they are clean again after using them.
Major downsides? I’m not a fan of the lid, as its mouth is far too wide and causes the liquid to spill easily, and of course, it’s expensive for a mug.
Otherwise, this is by far my favorite choice for a good coffee mug (which makes for amazing gifts).
8. Aeropress Go
I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post.
- Makes clean, high-quality coffee brews
- Rapid brew process
- Easy to use and clean
- It is very portable
- Versatile
- Not compatible with all mugs
- Small coffee capacity
I use my Aeropress Go every. single. day. While it’s primarily meant to be a travel coffee maker, I’ve been reliably using it now for almost five years as my daily driver. It has to be the most versatile coffee maker I’ve ever seen or used!
When it comes to the coffee side of things, it’s hard to make a bad brew with an Aeropress; I don’t know how, I don’t know why, but it just is. I’ve let it brew for one minute or forgotten about it for ten minutes, but it still tastes good.
As for cleanup, this is the easiest coffee maker to clean! You just rinse it off, and every once in a while, put it in the dishwasher. No descaling, no chemicals, and no error codes.
I guess its portability should also be mentioned, as it can be packed away inside of its own coffee mug, and all of its accessories can live inside with it and easily thrown into a backpack or luggage (which I have done plenty of times).
If you aren’t convinced, read through my review here! Or just buy it from here.
9. Able Carry Thirteen Daybag
I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post.
- It’s the right, compact size for a daily bag
- The magnetic chest strap is awesome
- I enjoyed the internal water bottle pocket
- The included rear pocket makes a lot of sense
- It’s definitely a smaller backpack
- Dirt and dust show really well
- Capacity: 13 Liters
- Materials: Cordura, YKK Zippers, Duraflex Hardware
I never realized how much I needed a good everyday backpack until I got this Able Carry Thirteen Day Bag. While its name may be confusing (the thirteen references to its liter capacity, not how many days it can be used), it is an amazing everyday bag. Keeping to its minimalist roots, it moves the water bottle storage to the interior of the bag, has just the right amount of pockets, and the materials are incredibly durable.
The thing that really stood out to me was its magnetic chest strap! It’s easy to adjust and magnetizes itself together, keeping the weight off of your shoulders. If a guy in your life needs to keep better organized going to work, this is an awesome pack.
That said, at only thirteen liters, it’s a small backpack! So, if your guy is a multi-day traveler, it’s not going to be a great fit for him.
However, if it’s a single-day activity he needs a pack for, this is it, and you can buy it here (Paid Link)!
10. Light Phone 2
I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post.
- Removes distractions that keep you on your phone, but keep the necessary!
- Extremely compact (you don't feel it on you)
- Only two types of notifications, texts and phone calls
- Includes podcasts and hotspot functionality (Speaker is quite decent)
- The sound quality is better than expected.
- Battery life is respectable.
- No more blue light
- Texting can be a bit of a pain!
- You miss out on some crucial apps that are built into our world.
- Keeping your existing service is iffy
- Scrolling isn't great
- Lack of camera
We are decades into this smartphone experiment we are a part of! Never have we been more addicted to our smartphones, tablets, and computers than we are now. That is why Light Phone created this phone, an e-ink dumb phone. While it may be based on Android, it takes it down to the basics (don’t forget to read my full review here)!
You get texts, phone calls, podcasts, and a few other non-addictive applications you might need. Its e-ink display is frustrating at times, leaving you not wanting to be on it often (which is kinda the point).
However, its podcast software is impressive, its phone calls sound great, and it’s extremely well-built (although extremely lightweight). The ONLY reason I’m not personally using this as my daily driver comes down to a lack of support for certain things I need in my daily life that aren’t compatible, and a camera (which the upcoming Light Phone 3 should have).
