The 10 Best Wallets We’ve Ever Tested in 2025 for Men

You found it, my ultimate list of the best wallets that I have ever tested. With over 90 in my collection right now, these ten stand out as the best of the best in their respective category. Sure, I have plenty of videos and articles detailing more specific lists of my favorites, but this is the most comprehensive and highest-level list of my favorites. So here we go.

Outside of our #1 pick (which is at the top) the rest of the wallets are not ordered in any specific order, instead are the best in each of their categories.

Quick Note: Before we get too far into this, I did want to mention that every wallet on this list was given to me by its brand. I do not guarantee coverage, types of coverage, or location of coverage! It’s at their own risk to send them out.

1. Ekster Cardholder Pro

Best Overall Wallet
4.9
Pros:
  • It has the metal ejector mechanism it deserves
  • Seems more durable paint wise
  • Inclusion of the more rubbery band is awesome
  • Finally, it has a higher card capacity
  • The rounded corner is a nice touch
  • Expansion plates are the best
  • Now includes a lifetime warranty
Cons:
  • Still wouldn’t recommend the money clip plate
  • It’s still larger than the competition

Time and time again, the Ekster Cardholder Pro surprises me with how truly awesome it is. I test a LOT of wallets, and this one keeps coming back as a favorite. Once Ekster moved on from their lackluster 2-year warranty and their plastic ejector mechanism, over to their PRO models (paid Link) with all-metal ejectors and a lifetime warranty, I was sold.

The Cardholder Pro specifically is my favorite of theirs, as it has the best of all worlds. It can handle 7 cards in the ejector, an additional 7 in the expansion plate. It’s compact enough, but still has the best feeling ejector, which evenly displays the cards at the push of a button. It even comes with both the standard expansion plate and the money clip plate in the box, making it an awesome jack of all trades.

While the pricing may seem hefty at first glance, it’s reasonably priced when you compare it to other competitors with similar specs.

2. Proof Wallet Full Grain “The Founder”

4.9
Pros:
  • The leather is high quality and feels great
  • The pull tab works extremely well, and is held in place
  • It seems to be very durable
  • Fantastic card capacity
  • It’s very compact
Cons:
  • It doesn’t fan out your cards

The Proof Wallet, in general, has taken the sandwich wallet game and turned it on its head. This Founder wallet specifically (Paid Link) is my favorite by far. Its full-grain leather feels amazing, the elastic band is durable, it has an amazing warranty, it is incredibly compact, and its pull tab design allows for access to up to 25 cards at a moment’s notice. Much like the Cardholder Pro that we just chatted about, this is a wallet that I keep coming back to.

Really, the only downside I can think of is that, in comparison to ejector wallets, while you physically pull the cards out of the wallet, they don’t fan out like a pop-up wallet, so it takes a bit more effort to get to the middle cards.

With that, though, this truly is a wallet that looks and functions well, while also not being noticeable in your pocket, as it is just so compact.

3. Puncube Mech Wallet Wasteland

Best Pop-Up Ejector Wallet
Pros:
  • Extremely high quality for the price
  • The most satisfying ejector mechanism sound
  • Modular accessories are well thought out
Cons:
  • Only a six card capacity
  • Hard to get your cards out quietly

Now, you might be asking why the Ekster Cardholder Pro isn’t the best ejector wallet, but well, I didn’t want to put it twice, so I’m letting its runner-up be the best choice here. If you are looking for one of the most satisfying wallets out there, bordering on a fidget toy, this Puncube Wasteland (Paid Link) is the one you should be keeping an eye on.

This is a horizontal ejecting wallet (which clicks like a high-end pawl on a bicycle), where the faceplate slides over to eject up to six cards at a time out the side. Just like the Cardholder Pro above, this, of course, has a full-metal ejector mechanism, meaning it should hold out in durability for years past any of the other plastic options.

While the ejector slider is probably my favorite feature about this wallet, its modularity has to be my second favorite. You can swap out different modules to both the front and back of the wallet, including a MagSafe, a bifold, and even a money clip. It’s cool stuff.

4. Double Oak Cloud Wallet

Best Slim Leather Wallet
4.9
Pros:
  • Full-grain leather is high quality
  • Very compact for a bifold style wallet
  • Fantastic value for the price
  • Has interior cash storage
Cons:
  • May not have quite enough room for some

If you can’t pull yourself away from a leather bifold (who can blame you), but would prefer to cut down on bulk, a slim bifold cardholder might be the way to go. If that sounds like you, the Cloud Wallet from Double Oak (Paid Link), and specifically the one I used here, is by far the best choice, bar none. The full-grain leather feels and looks amazing, with a patina that gets better over time.

As for the interior, you have multiple quick access slots for cards, and even the cards that are hidden farther back in the wallet are easy to get to with either a pull strap or a flap bent forward. The major downsides to any of these slim leather wallets, though, are that the cash storage is lacking (which is where a standard bifold shines). So if you don’t have much cash, you’ll be right at home in this wallet.

I’ve found that this wallet is extremely easy to store in my front pocket, and you do not feel the wallet in your pocket throughout the day like many other bifold wallets do.

5. Alpaka ARK Bifold Cash Wallet

Best Non-Leather Bifold
Pros:
  • A slim, yet high capacity wallet
  • Pull tab equipped for easily accessing back cards
  • Full size cash slot in the rear of the wallet
Cons:
  • Just doesn't feel as nice as leather
  • Fantastic price point

There are plenty of people out there who like a good bifold but would prefer to steer clear of leather. For those people, you might want a quick glance at the Alpaka Ark Bifold. This wallet maintains some of my favorite minimalist wallet features, like a pull tab and quick access slots right at the front of the wallet. However, it brings in more traditional designs like a rear cash slot (no folding required). The exterior is well-made and looks awesome!

My only and biggest struggle with this wallet is honestly the lack of leather. When it comes to bifolds, I really struggle not to have leather; it just doesn’t feel right to me. However, for the price, I could be convinced for sure.

6. Nomad Passport Wallet

I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post.

Best Travel Wallet
Pros:
  • Horween leather is extremely nice quality
  • Included titanium pen makes this an amazing deal
  • Interior is well thought out, yet allows for a compact design
Cons:
  • I wish it was full grain instead of top grain leather

If you travel a lot, or even if you travel a little, you’ll find out exactly why a good travel wallet is important. My personal favorite way to keep my passport, cash, flight papers, and more in the right place is this Nomad Passport Wallet, Pen Edition (Paid Link). The leather on this thing is crazy awesome, being Horween Leather, and the interior is well thought out for easy access to just about anything you could need.

However, my favorite thing about the whole wallet is the inclusion of their Titanium Pen. This is such a nice pen that is accessible while the wallet is closed, as it is magnetized into place in its own compartment. The only thing I wish was different? I prefer full-grain leather over top grain, but that’s just a personal preference.

7. Ekster Cardholder Pro MagSafe

I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post.

Best MagSafe Wallet
Pros:
  • Is equipped with the best ejector mechanism I've used
  • MagSafe on both sides for additional accessories
  • Very high build quality
Cons:
  • Not quite as good of a deal as the standard Cardholder Pro
Discount Code: Use Discount Code "GEAR43" for 10% Off Ekster Products.

The MagSafe version of the Ekster Cardholder Pro is one of the newest additions to my growing inventory of wallets; however, it has quickly become one of my favorites. I’m no stranger to MagSafe wallets, but this has to be the most well-thought-out one I’ve used. Why is that? Because it’s MagSafe on both sides, instead of just one.

This is not only so that you can add accessories that are built by Ekster for the wallet, but it also means you can continue to use other accessories, like desk or car mounts for your phone, without having to remove the wallet from the phone; it just extends it.

The wallet still has my favorite card ejector mechanism (all-metal, including the button) and the larger 7-card capacity cardholder.

The one real downside to this wallet (Paid Link) is that it takes additional cash to outfit the wallet to do anything more than just carry cards. Whereas the standard Cardholder Pro comes with a cash strap and expansion plate, making it the better deal for most people.

8. Travando SLYDE Wallet

I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post.

Best Budget Wallet
$16.95
Pros:
  • An incredible price to quality ratio
  • One of the best sounding wallets I have used
  • All-metal construction
  • Fantastic capacity
Cons:
  • No rubber stoppers for cards to stay in place
  • Multiple steps to get your cards back in to the wallet

Are you someone who’s looking for the deal of the century in the wallet world? This one right here has to be that. As the cheapest wallet on this list, it is also likely one of the best quality pop-up wallets on the list. Sure, some others are better thought out, which is why they are ranked where they are, but for the price, the SLYDE is an incredible deal (Paid Link).

It offers an 8-card capacity on the interior, a full metal ejector mechanism, one of the best sounding mechanisms I’ve heard, and it’s just fun to use.

Really, the main reason I wouldn’t rank this as one of the best wallets I’ve ever used is that it takes two steps to get the cards back in. First step after ejecting the cards is to slightly lower the face of the wallet; this lets the cards come back in, and then you close the lid at the top of the wallet. If you do both steps at once, cards like to get stuck behind the lid of the wallet.

Top that off with the fact that the cards move freely in the wallet when the lid is open, and it has just enough of an issue to not win a top spot. Is it an amazing deal? Definitely.

9. Lorzor Wallet Pro

Best Trackable Wallet
4.6
Pros:
  • Completely trackable via iPhone's FindMy network
  • Spring loaded mechanism works well
  • Looks extremely cool - very unique
Cons:
  • Durability of the spring mechanism is in question

If you see yourself as a tech-first person or prefer clear tech in general, this pop-up wallet is the right choice for you. I honestly thought this wallet was going to be a gimmick when the brand offered to send me one, but after testing it out, it’s slowly becoming one of my favorites. Unlike most push-button wallets, this uses a spring mechanism that ejects your cards (rather than pushes them upward), making for a unique take on this genre of wallet.

As for my favorite part of the Wallet Pro (Paid Link)? The tracking card is integrated into the wallet, and you can see the technology behind the Find My network front and center, behind clear plastic. It’s a cool, although unnecessary, effect that I enjoy very much.

10. Distil Union Wally Bifold 5.0

I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post.

Best Leather Bifold
4.6
Pros:
  • Very well thought out design
  • Pull tabs for easy access to most used cards
  • Well thought out interior cash clip
Cons:
  • Pull tabs and card storage make it thicker than it needs to be
We earn a commission if you make a purchase, at no additional cost to you.

If your goal is to get an awesome, high quality traditional bifold, then your best bet is going to be this Distil Union Wally Bifold 5.0. It’s incredibly high quality and well thought out. You can easily access around four cards without ever opening the wallet via pull tabs found on the outside, which pull cards out of the end of the wallet (Paid Link).

If you need to store more cards, there are, of course, additional spots on the interior as well. Cash? The interior has a well-thought-out money clip that doesn’t require folding of cash, and holds on to bills just the right amount, which is easy to remove, but difficult for them to slide out on their own.

The only real downside I have found with this wallet is that it’s just a bit thicker than it needs to be. The pull tabs and storage for the pull-tab cards add thickness to the wallet, and if it lost that helpful feature, it would be thinner.
