I’ve had my fair share of cheap-feeling MagSafe chargers sent out to me. Sure, they’ve all done their job, and honestly done them well. However, not one of them holds a candle to the Momax 1-Power S-Pass that the brand gave me after I met them at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) earlier this year. There is really only one downside I’ve found, and that’s just because I have the smaller iPhone 17 Pro (instead of the Max), but we’ll get into that in a few.
What is the Momax 1-Power S-Pass2?
- An extremely high build quality
- Matches my iPhone perfectly
- Qi2 and wired charging options
- Impressive capacity, considering the size
- Slightly too wide to fit well on the standard iPhone 17 Pro
This is a 10,000mAh MagSafe-enabled Qi2 charging (which means it’s magnetic and charges at a higher 15 watts) portable charger. It’s just as at home on the back of my iPhone as it is wired charging my reMarkable Paper Pro (wired charging allows for up to 30 watts). Its small size allows it to easily fit into pockets, tech pouches, or your backpack.
The front and sides of the charger are what I assume is aluminum (it’s advertised as “metal”), and the rear is made of strengthened tempered glass, leaving a premium feel that’s hard to compare in this space.
On the front of the device is a simple interface composed of five LED lights to portray how charged it is, along with a button to check the charge status. On the bottom of the device is a single USB-C port, which acts both as the way you charge it and as a way to wire charge your other devices.
So what do I like about the S-Pass2?
1. This thing has an extremely high build quality

The moment I unboxed this portable charger, it immediately struck me that this is the highest-quality charger I’ve ever used. In fact, this has all of the characteristics of my iPhone 17 Pro in Cosmic Orange, leaving me wondering why in the world Apple wouldn’t sell this in its stores alongside its devices.
The aluminum body is thick enough to make it feel premium (not the thinner stuff that feels cheap), and the tempered glass on the back is tapered off at the edges for a rounded corner, and somehow feels soft to the touch. There aren’t any defects to speak of, no creaks, and everything feels substantial in the best possible way.
I’m not afraid (after 10 years of reviewing products) to say I don’t like the way a product feels, and I just can’t find a reason to say that here.
2. It matches my iPhone perfectly

While the quality may be my favorite thing about this MagSafe charger, its color is definitely my next favorite thing. Sure, the Cosmic Orange iPhone may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but when you match it with the right accessories, it really shines, and that’s the case here.
Not only is the color the exact same color as my iPhone, but it also has the same type of metal, meaning the finish is nearly identical in every way, making it feel more like a 1st party accessory.
3. Qi2 and wired charging options

I’ve used this battery bank to wirelessly charge my iPhone 17 Pro, my Moto Razr Ultra (yes, even wirelessly), and my reMarkable Paper Pro (wired), and I’ve had no issues with any of the charging options. Having both options allows for charging just about any device, and the capacity allows for the same.
4. Impressive capacity, considering the size

Now, I’ve had a few battery banks like this with a larger capacity, and they tend to be bulky, meaning you can’t carry the phone with you when it’s attached to the back. That just isn’t the case here, as you can hold your phone in your hand with the battery bank attached and still feel reasonably portable.
The 10,000 mAh battery allows for my reMarkable Paper Pro to be charged around two times, my iPhone 17 Pro a little over two times, and my Moto Razr Ultra right at about two times. This means you shouldn’t have to worry about your devices being charged if you are using this for a single day of use.
So what did I not like about this charger?
1. It’s slightly too wide to fit well on the standard iPhone 17 Pro

Stay tuned if you have the smaller iPhone 17 Pro, but only if you go caseless. The width of the Momax 1-Power S-Pass is every so slightly wider than your iPhone. That means it sticks off to the sides just a little bit, which can be quite annoying. However, it is so slight that even if you have a minimalist case on your phone, you won’t notice it, and in fact might be flush, which feels awesome in its own right.
So who is the Momax 1-Power S-Pass for then?
If you are looking for a mid-capacity power bank with MagSafe capabilities, I haven’t seen a better choice than this one, and it isn’t even that badly priced in comparison to the lesser competitors. If you have an iPhone and want a matching charger, this is it for you. I can’t say enough how much this charger just works, and works well.
The only person I’d recommend steering clear of this is if you are trying to get cheap power. Yes, you can get cheaper alternatives that will do everything that this one does, but this will just look and feel better while doing it.
Where should you buy it?
- An extremely high build quality
- Matches my iPhone perfectly
- Qi2 and wired charging options
- Impressive capacity, considering the size
- Slightly too wide to fit well on the standard iPhone 17 Pro
