Everybody loves to travel… well maybe not everyone, but for those that love travel and those that dread it, they all have one thing we all have in common. We all want to get where we are going with as little interruption as possible. And, as a bonus, do not lose anything on the way.

So, whether you are a first-time traveler who only has this one trip in their future or you travel so much, you’re flying Delta’s Elite diamond status because you travel 300 out of 365, a good trip is all any of us are asking for. We all want a way of carrying all our important trip documents, having them stored securely, quickly accessible, and even stylishly. We want it all!

There is no feeling in the world like being in between the Uganda/Tanzania border during COVID-19 and thinking you lost your passport and that you’re going to end up stuck in no man’s land like Tom Hanks in “The Terminal.” Almost happened to me. (Pro Tip: Maybe check that movie out before your next travel out of the country) second, though, don’t…you may cancel your trip.

Either way, this review should help you make sure you invest in the right passport wallet, so let’s talk about the Harbor London Travel Wallet with RFID Protection.

This wallet was gifted to me by Harbor London to review, but I am going to give it an honest review with my own opinions, likes, dislikes, and all. There are some things I love that I think you will too, and two things I do not enjoy… but first, let’s talk about the wallet itself.

This is a travel wallet to take seriously. It has a slim design and is handmade in Spain! Love that. It’s a full-grain leather built to develop a nice, unique patina over time.

This wallet boasts (Paid Link) that it can hold cash, various currencies, over 12 cards, a passport, of course, and various compartments for tickets, notes, or whatever else you may need.

One cool thing is that this one comes with a hidden coin pocket and, even better, a SIM card holder! Maybe this is common, but I’ve never seen this before, and I think it’s a great feature.

The wallet is 5.6″ by 3.8″ closed and 11.4″ by 3.8″ open. It comes in about three different color options, and this one is the Tan/Grey. It does come with a pull tab for quick access to your passport, and I have to say that this pull tab is one thing I like and dislike… with that, let’s talk about what I like about this wallet.

What do I like about the wallet?

1. The full-grain leather is awesome!

First off, If you are a sucker for leather like I am, you’ll like this travel wallet. Being made of full-grain leather and handmade in Spain is so nice in today’s world, where most things are cheap and factory-built.

2. It stays slim, even when full of everything you need.

Secondly, this wallet remained very minimalist and slim while I was carrying my various cards, tickets, and passport. I carried this in a hidden pocket on my favorite travel backpack, and it fit into that compact space without any issues. It has two currency compartments, which I will use every single time.

It may seem like a small thing, but when you are holding a currency for exchange at different places and need to keep your receipts separate, this dual compartment (Paid Link) is a life and time saver, and in the end, having all your bills or cash easily trackable is a relief. What is not a relief are the extra card pockets in the currency compartment… so with that, let’s talk about what is not… great.

What do I NOT like about this travel wallet?

1. Card and passport compartments are tighter than they should be

There are only two things that I don’t like about this product, and the first may or may not be a problem for you, but it was a struggle for me. Overall, the card and passport compartments are tight -very tight- almost too tight.

The benefit is that the card and passport compartments are so snug that nothing is going to fall out while the TSA border agent is staring you down while you’re pulling out your passport.

With that being said, maybe it’s just me, but the three inner card pockets are too small; if you put anything in there that will not stick out of the top, good luck reaching in there with two fingers to grab it, you’ll end up taking whatever paper you stuck in there just trying to get it back out and good luck if you have to peek into each pocket to see what slip of paper, ticket or folded cash you put in which pocket.

Those pockets don’t really stand out or are in the way of your main compartments, so I feel like I will just end up loving this wallet but not using those three compartments. No loss for me, as I don’t tend to use things like that anyway.

2. The pull tab likes to get bunched up.

The only other thing that may be slightly frustrating is something that I found while holding up the line trying to put my passport back in the main compartment. I was prepared to walk through security with documents and my passport in hand, and I was confident that I would get through without a problem. I grabbed the pull tab to get my passport out.

I was quickly approved to move forward so others in line could follow, but putting it right back in proved a little frustrating because the pull tab bunched up.

It is not a big deal, but a problem nonetheless. To get the passport back in, I had to pull the tab out again all the way and then pay a little more attention to this before walking past the next area.

I feel like this is a simple learning curve, and if I had to choose between the risk of my passport falling out due to a compartment that is too loose or slowing down a little, I’d choose the latter every time.

Who should buy the Harber London Travel Wallet?

If you are looking to pick a travel wallet that will hold all your cards, cash, and documents without ever losing a single one. You are going to love this one. If you are like me and don’t like having to put all your cards in RFID protective sleeves, this is a great option for you as it comes with RFID built-in.

If you are the kind of person that is wanting to put multiple booklets, cards, or tickets in the same compartment as your passport, this may not be for you, and the compartments are so snug.

However, it does provide dual compartments with plenty of space for all your stuff.
