It’s SURPRISING how GOOD the Orbitkey Key Organizer Pro is! (A Review)

As life goes on and gets busier, so does my keychain, but it, too, deserves a little trimming down and organization. I didn’t intend to carry personal keys, work keys, and random unknown keys on one single keyring. But here I am, walking around with an overloaded keyring barely able to fit in my pocket. Carrying keys I’ll use once a year and, of course, daily must-haves.

That’s why when Orbitkey gave us this Key Organizer Pro Leather, I was curious but not sold. I wanted a better way to carry my keys but didn’t know if this would be it. I’ve spent the past two weeks testing this product, so if you’re looking to give your keychain an upgrade, then keep reading because I’ll share what I liked and what I didn’t.

For well under $100, Orbitkey’s Key Organizer Pro Leather is intended to turn your keys into a sleek and silent stack. It’s made from premium napa leather that comes with four color options; Cedar, Sapphire, Blackout, and Evergreen.

It has 316L stainless steel. It can carry 3-9 standard keys, and a key fob can be attached to the fixed D-ring. It has a Quick flip tool to get to your most used key easily. The tensioning hardware is micro-adjustable so that you can dial in the perfect amount of tension you want.

It measures: length: 93mm / 3.66″, width: 21mm / 0.82″ and height: 35mm / 1.37″. It comes with a standard 2-year Warranty, and if you need a few more keys, you can order as an extension post, allowing you to carry up to 11 keys at once.

What did I like about this organizer?

1. It’s incredibly quiet

One of my favorite benefits of using it is the streamlined experience I got, having the keys all together, held tightly, and with zero noise.

Noisy keys was just one of those things I don’t think; although it annoyed me before, I just accepted it as part of being an adult. however, on day three of testing, I was driving down a bumpy Idaho road… no noise. Just the noise of potholes slowly destroying my vehicle.

2. Its very comfortable to carry around

I found that as I carried it in my backpack, in my jacket or pants pocket, or just in hand the slim design was noticeable. I’ve never like carrying bulky keys in my pants pockets because it’s uncomfortable and overall a bead look. Being able to do that now is a great improvement.

The leather is flexible enough to keep the keys tight and aligned and also allows for easy and comfortable carry. Even in my pants pocket.

3. Quick flip tool is an awesome addition

Having never used an organizer like this (although we’ve used plenty as a company), I first thought that the “quick flip tool” was going to be a gimmick, but after using it, I realized how foolish that thought was. The ability to find my go-to key without looking was life-improving.

I get home in the dark a lot, meaning if the porch light is not on, having a lunch box and other items, I am wrestling to get my keys, find the right one, get it unstuck from the mess of other keys, and unlock the door. Seriously, I carry a full set of keys for two buildings that I manage, personal keys, and gym key cards. It was a mess. I am happy to find the right key without a problem (Paid Link).

4. The D-Ring is great

This one is the deal breaker for me. Like I said, I have a lot of keys! With my truck key fob and my gym pass tag, I didn’t think this would work for me. And then… along comes the D-ring. In a matter of minutes, I put the keys together and attached my truck key fob and gym pass tag.

Detached are my work keys (now carried separately!), and I have a solution I should have thought of and purchased long ago. Without the D-Ring, this would not have worked for me, so this is a must-have addition.

What I didn’t like about this key organizer?

    1. Unneeded Length (For me)

I would love a shorter optional length for this product. My keys are all standard length, so there is about ¾ of an inch of unused space in the total length. If Orbitkey came out with a shorter version, I would buy it tomorrow.

Don’t get me wrong, I know that some people have longer keys, and I may also do so in the future; however, until that day, I’d love it to come with a shorter size option.

Who is this organizer best for?

      1. Clutter/Bulk conquerors!

If you are like me and could use a little extra organization for your keyring. Then this is for you (Paid Link). I only tested this because it was gifted to me. I didn’t purchase one in the past because I didn’t think they would help. But it turns out that they are very helpful. So, If you are not sure where to begin, this may be it. It forced me to rethink how I carried my key, and now I am very glad about the forced change! You may be, too.

      2. Tired of the noise.

This is also for the person who doesn’t realize how annoying the constant clanking of keys is when you’re walking through a store or driving your car. The silent and compact design may be the thing your brain (and wife) have been asking for all along.

Who is this NOT for? At the current price point, I wouldn’t say that this is the most budget-friendly key organizer on the market. This is not for the person who is not willing to drop more than $20 on a key organizer considering that a set of keyrings can be purchased for under a dollar. I know that some people, no matter how much quality is poured into a key holder product will not pay that much.
